The Mechanical Forest is Monkeybread Impressions' first game! This little visual novel project was created by François Desole and Andry Rajanamavo so they could experiment and learn how to code and collaborate together for the first time.
Like all Monkeybread projects, The Mechanical Forest is fully bilingual. Even though this is just a test, we hope you enjoy our small thing.

That was a nice short story. Spent ~40 mins with it. I enjoyed the art and the branches (especially the first dead-end ones with De Reemus lying on the ground). Especially loved the random drops of French alongside English.
Some basic UI issues made this a bit harder to play for me: namely the missing AutoPlay and FullScreen buttons (have to squint to play in-browser). Having a Mac Build would've been nice.

Hi Gloss Quest! Thank you for your detailed feedback and kind words. Unfortunately we won't be polishing this game anymore as it was just a test to see what we could do in a limited amount of time, but thanks to your comments we added a downloadable version so that people could play full screen (or at least bigger).
